Write A Letter To Your Friend Describing How You Spend Your Holidays

You have just returned from a trip to the beach. Your friend asks you lots of questions about your trip, and eventually asks you to describe in detail how you spend your days at the beach. I wasn’t sure what type of information you were gonna attach to your letter so I took some time to write a few different letters that you may find helpful. Take a look below:
Write A Letter To Your Friend Describing How You Spend Your Holidays
Dear [friend name],
I hope you are doing well! I spent my holidays at home with my family and friends. We went to the beach, shopping, and to the movies. It was a great time!
We also had a party at our house and invited all of our friends over. It was so much fun! I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to these past few weeks!
Dear [friend’s name],
How are you doing? I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to tell you about my holiday. It was great!
I went to my grandma’s house and we had so much fun. We ate, played games and watched movies. It was really great. I also went to a party that my friend organized at his house. We had lots of food, drinks and we played games too.
It was a lot of fun!
Hey [name],
I hope you’ve been doing well! I thought I would write to you because we haven’t talked in a while and I wanted to see how things were going for you.
So, how have your holidays been? Have you had a chance to travel anywhere fun? Did you go on any exciting adventures or do anything new?
I can’t believe it’s already almost over! It feels like just yesterday that we were getting ready for Thanksgiving, but now it’s Christmas Eve. Make sure you’re spending time with the people who matter most to you this holiday season—it goes by so fast!
Hey [friend’s name],
How are you? I hope you are doing well. I hope your holidays are going well so far.
I’ve been trying to spend my holidays with my family, but it’s not that easy because we live far away from each other. But at least we try to meet once in a while and share our time together as much as possible. It is nice to be able to spend time with my family and friends even though it is not always easy for us to do so.
What about you? How are things going for you?
Dear [friend’s name],
I hope everything is well with you! I’m writing to tell you about my holiday break.
It was a very fun time. I started off by going to my best friend’s house on Christmas Eve, and we stayed up late eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate. The next day, we woke up early and opened presents, then went to the movies. My parents gave me this really cool jacket that I love because it keeps me warm, but it also looks good with almost any outfit. Then we went back home and had dinner with my grandparents and cousins—it was really nice! Then we went back to [friend’s name]’s house for more hot chocolate before bedtime.
The next day was New Year’s Eve, which was kind of weird because there were no parties or anything like that going on anywhere near us. But we still had a good time celebrating together! We played games all afternoon (mostly charades), then watched movies until it got dark outside again. We ate popcorn while watching the ball drop on TV together before heading off to bed around nine o’clock—which is pretty late!
Dear [friend’s name],
How are you? I hope you are doing well. I am doing great, thank you for asking.
I have been spending my holidays with my family. We have been going on trips to different places in the country and enjoying ourselves. We have also been planning for our next holiday and I am sure it will be amazing!
I hope you are having a great time too. If there is anything else you want to know about me or my life, feel free to write back and ask away!
Thank you and best regards, [your name].
Dear friend,
I’m writing to you because I know that you, like me, are a big fan of holidays. I wanted to share with you what I did during my last holiday. It was a great time and I hope to have another one soon!
I spent the entire holiday with two friends. We went on a trip to a nearby city and we had lots of fun there. We visited all kinds of places and we saw many interesting things. We talked about our future plans for the rest of our lives together as friends. We also talked about our past memories together as well.
It was nice spending time with my friends but it’s always better when we’re together again after a long time apart!
Dear [friend’s name],
I hope all is well with you! It’s been a while since we’ve talked, and I just wanted to check in and see how things are going.
I know it’s been a little while since we last spoke, but I thought that this might be a good time for us to catch up.
I’m doing great! I’ve been spending the holidays with my family, and it’s been really nice having some much-needed time off from work. We did a lot of shopping (and eating), which was really fun.
We also went to a lot of parties and events, so I got to see some old friends—it was great catching up with them! It was kind of like being back in high school again (except without all the awkwardness).
The weather has been pretty mild here in [city], so it hasn’t been too bad staying inside during the day. We had some snow this week, but it melted before Christmas. It was nice having some precipitation though—it felt like winter!
Anyway… hope you’re doing well!
Write back soon!
Dear [friend’s name],
I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season! I just wanted to take a moment and tell you about how my holiday break has gone so far.
I’ve been spending most of my time with family, which is always nice. My parents have been cooking up a storm in the kitchen and my brother has been playing video games for hours on end. One day, we all went out to see the Christmas lights at the mall—it was so beautiful! There were even elves handing out candy canes for everyone to enjoy.
I hope your holidays are going well too! If you have any fun plans this week, let me know!
Dear [Friend’s name],
How are you? I hope this letter finds you well.
I have been thinking about you a lot lately and wanted to let you know that I am doing well. I have been spending the holidays with my family and friends, relaxing, and enjoying time off from work. It is nice to take some time for myself and spend it with those who mean the most to me.
I hope that this holiday season has been good for you so far as well!
Hey [friend’s name],
I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to tell you what I’ve been up to in my free time, because it’s been so exciting!
I spend most of my time outside with my family and friends. We go for walks and play games together, which is great because we don’t get to see each other as often as we’d like!
Then, when we do get together, we always have a blast. We may barbecue or play sports—whatever it takes to keep us active!
Have a great day!
Dear [friend’s name],
How are you? I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I’m spending the holidays in a new city, and it’s really great so far!
I’ve been staying in an apartment that overlooks the ocean, and it’s so beautiful. The weather is perfect for walking along the beach or exploring the city. There are some great restaurants here, too—I tried one this weekend that serves food made with local ingredients and it was amazing!
The only downside is that it’s kind of hard to get used to being away from my family, but they’ll be here soon enough.
Anyway, thanks for listening! I hope your holiday season is going well too!
Dear [friend’s name],
I hope you’re having a great week. Things are going well here in [city name]. I just got back from a trip to [city name] with my family, and it was really fun. We spent most of the time eating at some really cool restaurants and seeing the sights, but I did have to work on Friday so we didn’t get to spend as much time together as I would have liked.
We got back to our hotel late last night, and everyone was exhausted from the trip. We decided to go out for dinner since we had a few hours before bedtime, so we went to this restaurant called [restaurant name] where they make their own pizzas from scratch every day! It was delicious—and very filling!
After dinner, we went back to our hotel room where I played video games until about 2:00 AM when I fell asleep. Now that everything is over and done with, I feel like it was a very successful trip. It was nice being able to enjoy some time away from work while still being able to do something productive as well!
I hope things are going well with you too!
Hello,
I hope you’re doing well. I know it’s been a while since we last talked and I’m sorry for that. It’s just that I’ve been so busy with my holiday preparations!
I’ve been working on my Christmas decorations for weeks now. I have a lot of ornaments, so it was quite the undertaking to organize them all properly. But now they’re all hung up and ready to go—it looks beautiful!
I also got some new lights for outside the house, so I can finally take down the old ones. They were starting to look a little worn out anyway, so it’s good timing.
The tree is up, too—but not decorated yet! That’s still coming later this week when we get back from visiting family in Pennsylvania (where we used to live) for Thanksgiving. It will be nice to see everyone again—we really missed them these last few years!
How are things going for you? How’s your holiday planning going? Tell me all about it!
Dear [Friend’s Name],
I hope you and your family are doing well! I’m so excited to get back to work and back into a routine after the holidays. I love spending time with my family, but sometimes it’s nice to be alone. Sometimes I’ll take walks around the neighborhood, or go for a run on the beach. Other times, I’ll just sit at home and read all day—it’s hard not to get wrapped up in a good book!
Have you ever thought about taking time off from work? You could travel somewhere new and experience a new culture together—just think of what could happen if you took off next week and traveled together! Or maybe you could try something new with your friends: go camping or go skiing in the wintertime!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that we’re thinking of you and how much we miss being together over the holidays! We hope you have an amazing time with your family this year.
Dear Jack,
I know you’re busy with work and all, but I just wanted to take a minute to say how much I appreciate you, and everything you do for me.
You are always willing to listen when I need to talk, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t wish I could spend more time with you. You are an amazing friend—one of the most important people in my life!
This is probably not the best time to be writing this, but it’s still worth saying anyway: thanks for being such an amazing friend!
