Write A Letter To Your Best Friend Telling Him About Your Experience So Far In The College
Hey, buddy!
I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to write you a quick note and tell you about my experience so far in the college.
I’m really enjoying it, but it’s been challenging. My first semester was a little rocky, but I think the second one is going to be much better. It’s been really fun meeting new people and learning about new things, though—and I’ve heard that the third semester is even better than the second one!
I know that sometimes you’re worried about me being here alone because you don’t live near me anymore, but don’t worry—I’m fine! And I’m sure we’ll see each other soon enough.
Love, [your name].
Hey [name],
So I’ve been here for a couple of weeks now, and it’s pretty cool. There’s a lot of people here that are into the same stuff as me, so it’s great to meet new people who have similar interests. And the classes are really interesting! I’m taking Intro to Psychology right now, and it’s just so fascinating to learn about how people work and why they do things. It really expands your mind in a good way!
Anyway, I hope you’re doing well. If you ever want to talk about how you’re doing in school or anything else that’s going on in your life, let me know!
Love, [your name].
Dear [Name],
I hope you are well. I am writing to let you know about my experience so far in college. It has been hard, but I am learning a lot. I have taken several classes and have met new people who are very nice. I also got to see many different places on campus such as the library, cafeteria, and bookstore. The food is not very good, but it does not matter because there are many other places where we can eat outside of campus like at home or even fast-food restaurants.
I also learned some more about myself during this time here at [College Name]. For example, I learned that I am not very good at math and English because they can be very hard sometimes but there are other subjects like science where you don’t have to think too much so they’re easier for me. Also, I learned that it’s possible for me to make friends even though it was difficult at first because everyone was busy with their own things so they didn’t pay attention much when someone else was talking or asking questions about something like homework assignments or projects that were due soon after classes ended each day (which was mostly how things went every day).
Dear [friend’s name],
I just wanted to write you a quick note to tell you about my experience so far at [college name]. I’ve been here for about two weeks now, and it’s been great! It took a little while to get used to the new schedule, since it’s so different from high school. But I’ve settled in, and I love all my classes—they’re so interesting! And there are so many cool people in them. I’ve already made some new friends who are super nice and easy to talk to.
The dorms are actually really nice too. They’re kind of small compared with what we had in high school, but they’re still pretty big considering what they’re supposed to be used for. There are also lots of common areas where people can hang out if they want.
Anyway, hope things are going well with you too! Let me know how things are going when you get a chance—I’d love to hear all about it!
Hey [name],
So I’ve been at [college name] for about a week now, and it’s been pretty great so far. The classes are good, and the student body is nice—I’ve made some friends already. I don’t know if you remember this from high school, but there was this kid named [person’s name] who used to bully me? Well, he’s here too, and we ended up being assigned as lab partners for chemistry class. He’s actually pretty cool!
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that things are going well for me so far. I hope you are doing well too! Love you lots!
Dear [friend’s name],
I can’t believe it’s already been a month since we left for college! It feels like just yesterday that we were sitting in our room, packing up all of our stuff for dorm life. Now here we are, and you’re my roommate! It feels like this is going to be such an amazing experience—and I know it will be because of you. You’ve always been so amazing, and I’m so grateful to have met you.
I can’t wait to see what the next few months bring for us. I know we’ll make some great friends, but more importantly, I hope that we get to spend a lot more time together than we did before. We both have our own classes and schedules now, but it seems like this is going to be a great opportunity for us to grow even closer as friends.
Dear [friend’s name],
I miss you a lot! It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other, and I hope you’re doing well.
I’m sorry I haven’t written to you in a while. It’s just that things are so hectic here at college: there are so many things going on all the time, and I have so much work to do, that I just don’t have time to write letters anymore.
It’s been great being here though—I’ve met a lot of new people, and they’re all really nice! And the campus is beautiful, too. There’s this huge fountain in the middle of it that’s really pretty at night when it lights up—I love walking around campus at night when it’s dark because everything looks so different then.
Anyway, enough about me—what have you been up to? Do you still play basketball? What classes are you taking? Let me know what you think about my new haircut—it’s shorter than before but not too short because I don’t want people thinking I’m trying too hard or anything like that (even though maybe some people would think that anyway).
Dear [friend’s name],
I know it’s been a long time since we’ve talked, but I just wanted to check in and let you know how things are going.
It’s been a crazy year so far—I’m definitely still getting used to the pace of college life, and all the new people I’ve met. But I’m really happy that I decided to come here!
I’ve taken some really interesting classes so far. My favorite one is called “Philosophy of Time” and we’re learning about how philosophers have thought about the concept of time throughout history. We’re reading Plato and Aristotle, but also Bacon and Descartes—and all their ideas are fascinating! It’s taught by this professor who lives near campus and has written books on philosophy; he’s really cool.
Another class I’m taking is called “The Modern World.” It covers everything from colonialism to feminism to globalization… it’s pretty intense! But it’s also really interesting because it helps me understand how our world has changed over time, which makes me think about what kind of impact my actions will have on our future… or even my family’s future generations down the line!
Thank you!
Dear [name],
I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, and I wanted to write to you about my experiences so far in college.
It’s been wonderful! My classes are great, and I think my professors are fantastic. They really know their stuff, but they also have a lot of experience outside of the classroom—one of them is an author who has written multiple books on his area of study; another one was a professor for 10 years before going into business for himself; one is even a former student!
My classmates are awesome too. Everyone has big personalities and we all get along really well. I’ve made some new friends here who I’m really excited to hang out with later this week when we go out for dinner together on Thursday night!
And then there’s the campus itself: it’s beautiful! The buildings are old but they’ve all been renovated recently, so they look brand new inside and out. And there’s so much history here—the campus used to be an old military base during World War II, so some of the old buildings still have bullet holes from wartime battles in them!
Hey [name],
I hope you’re doing well! I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, and I wanted to write to you and tell you how things are going with me.
I’m really happy to be here at [college name]. It’s been great getting to know all the people and starting new relationships. I really like my classes—the teachers are so passionate about what they teach that it makes it easy for us students to learn and feel inspired. The campus is beautiful, too! There are so many places to go that make me feel calm and happy when I’m stressed out from homework.
The community here is so tight-knit and friendly—everyone seems like they could be your best friend if you just took the time to get to know them. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this comfortable anywhere else before!
I hope everything is going well with you back home in [city]. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help out or if there’s something specific that you want me to talk about when we next talk on the phone or video chat (or however we choose to communicate). Until then, take care of yourself!
Dear [friend’s name],
I’m writing to you because I miss you. I miss our conversations and the way we laughed at each other’s jokes, even when they weren’t that funny. I miss how you would pick me up from my house and we’d spend all day together, sometimes even venturing out into public so we would be exposed to germs and other infections! But most of all, I just miss having someone around who understands me and loves me for who I am.
I know it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other, but let me tell you about what’s going on with me now:
I’m currently attending [college name], where I’m taking classes in subjects like math and science, which are pretty cool! My favorite class is Intro to Psych, where we get to do experiments like testing the correlation between caffeine consumption and memory recall ability by giving people decaf versus regular coffee (spoiler alert: they don’t have any effect). One of my professors is really nice—she wears glasses like yours and has a tattoo on her arm of a dolphin jumping out of water with a rainbow behind it…
Dear [Best Friend’s Name],
I have been having a great time in college. The people are really nice and my classes are fun. I am taking a class on animal behavior and it is really interesting. I learned that the most important part of an animal’s brain is the cerebrum, which has two hemispheres. One side controls emotions, while the other side controls logical thinking. Animals also have a limbic system, which includes parts of the brain that control memory and emotions. It’s amazing how much we know about animals!
My classes are going well so far. My math class is hard, but at least it’s not as hard as calculus was in high school! My English class is pretty easy for me because we already covered most of the material in high school. My history class is interesting because we’re learning about ancient Egyptian civilization right now—the pyramids were built using slaves!
I hope you like your new apartment! Stay safe!
