Write A Letter To Your Best Friend Telling Her About Your New School
Dear [friend’s name],
I hope you’re doing well! I’m writing to tell you about my new school. It’s called [school name] and it’s pretty great. My favorite part is the people—I’ve made a lot of new friends and it’s been really fun getting to know them.
The classes are also really cool, especially [class 1] and [class 2]. The teachers are really friendly and helpful, too. I’ve been learning a lot from them! I can’t wait for you to meet them when we get back together in a few weeks!
I’m so happy that this year has been going so well for both of us, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Dear [best friend],
I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been doing great in my new school. The classes are really interesting and the teachers are really nice. I still remember how much fun we had together in our old school. It’s so different here, but it’s not bad at all!
I’m glad we have the same class schedule so we can hang out after school sometimes. We should plan a movie night or something soon!
Dear [best friend’s name],
So, I’m sure you’re wondering why I haven’t been in touch lately. The truth is, I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed with school that I just haven’t had time to write or call anybody.
I know it’s weird for me to say so, because usually I’m the one who’s busy but still manages to keep up with my friends—but this whole thing has been different. My new school is HUGE! There are so many people here, and every class seems like a huge commitment with all the work that goes into it. Plus, since we’re all trying to find our way around campus, it takes forever just to get from one place to another—so there’s not much time left over for anything else.
I miss hanging out with you guys at lunch! It’s weird how much easier everything was last year when we were all together at [smaller school name]—it feels like we’re starting over again here at [bigger school name]. Anyway… I hope this letter finds you well and happy!
Dear [friend’s name],
I hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to say hi and let you know how things are going with my new school.
I’m really enjoying the classes here, and it’s really nice to be able to have my own room. I’ve been making some friends and getting used to the campus.
One thing that made me laugh was when they told me that I needed to bring a pillow with me every night. I didn’t even think about it until someone mentioned it at dinner. Then everyone started laughing because apparently everyone has their own pillow at this school!
Dear [name],
I know it’s been a while since we talked, but I just wanted to let you know that things are going great! I’ve been getting settled into my new school and everything is going so smoothly. I’m loving my classes and the people in them so far, and everyone has been super friendly.
The campus is huge! It’s like a whole city, but smaller. There are tons of trees and flowers everywhere, and the buildings are gorgeous. Everything looks so clean and new—it feels like we’re all living inside of a dream.
My dorm room is really nice too—it has its own bathroom and a big window facing out onto the lawn outside. It makes me feel like I’m living in the country instead of in the city. You should see all of these people riding around on bikes with no helmets on! It would be dangerous if anyone was actually paying attention to anything other than their phones or their friends or whatever else they’re doing, but it’s kind of funny too because they look like they’re having so much fun! We might have to go biking sometime soon…
Anyway, maybe we can hang out soon? Let me know what works…
Dear [best friend’s name],
I hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to write and let you know that I’ve been busy with my new school, and it’s going great! I’m taking a lot of classes, but it’s all good. I’ve met some really cool people, including some in my classes. I even found out that one of the other students in my class is from the same town as me—it turns out we went to high school together! It was so great to see an old face again.
I hope you’re keeping up with your studies, too; don’t forget about all those long nights of studying for tests and papers. You’ll be fine if you keep up with what you need to do!
Dear [best friend’s name],
I know I haven’t written you in a while, but I’ve been busy with school. I just got out of my first day and wanted to tell you all about it.
My new school is amazing! It’s so big and beautiful, and everyone is so friendly. The teachers are great too—they’re always there when you need them and they always seem ready to help with anything. The classes are small enough that it feels like we’re all friends, but big enough that we can still get our own space if we need it. And the cafeteria food! Oh my goodness, it’s so good! You should come visit sometime and try it for yourself!
I’m really happy here, [friend’s name]. The only thing I miss about my old school is being able to see my friends every day after class ended. But since we have lunch together every day now (and sometimes even before), I guess that makes up for it. Plus, they’ve already invited me to their birthday parties next month! How cool is that?
Anyway, sorry this isn’t much of a letter—it’s just hard not having time to write back home because of schoolwork right now.
Dear [best friend’s name],
I miss you so much! I can’t believe how much time has passed since we last saw each other. It feels like just yesterday that we were all hanging out in your backyard, and now here I am, all the way across the country.
It’s been really exciting getting to know my new school and make friends with people from all over the world. I’ve made some really cool connections—I met a guy from Germany who plays basketball and he’s going to be helping me train for track this spring.
But it’s also been kind of hard adjusting to life away from home. There are so many things I miss about being around my family and friends back home: our favorite restaurants, playing games together, spending time by the pool… nothing beats being able to just relax outside without needing any special equipment or clothes!
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I’m doing well here and that I miss you tons! Hope everything is going well back home too.
Hey, [name].
I’m writing because I want to tell you about my new school. It’s different from the last one, but I think it’s going to be a good fit for me. The teachers are nice and there are lots of other students who seem like they’ll be fun to hang out with. The classes are pretty challenging, which is good because I’m hoping to challenge myself this year.
There’s one thing that’s a little weird about the school though: The library is hidden in the basement, behind a bookcase and down a secret stairwell. It seems kind of silly—like it would be easier just to put some bookshelves around it—but I guess they want to keep people from accidentally stumbling in on their way to the cafeteria or something.
Anyway, that’s all for now! Write back soon!
Dear [friend’s name],
I’m writing you because I wanted to tell you about my new school. It’s called [school’s name] and it’s pretty cool. The teachers are nice and the people are friendly, but I think you’d like it here if you came over one day. There’s a lot more to do than in your old school, and the campus is huge! You could probably walk around for hours and still not see everything.
Anyway, that’s all for now—I hope we get to hang out soon!
Love always, [your name].
Dear [best friend],
I am so excited to tell you that I have been accepted into [school name]. It is a great opportunity for me and I know that it will be a lot of work, but I’m looking forward to getting out of this town and trying something new.
I’ve always wanted to go away to school, but my parents weren’t really into the idea. They wanted me to stay close by and go to the local community college in town. But now that I have gotten accepted into a school that’s not even close by, they are starting to come around and see how much this means to me. They don’t want me driving all the way across the country or anything like that, but they do understand why it’s important for me to get out there and learn more about myself outside of our small town.
I’m sure you’re wondering what kind of things we’ll be studying at [school name]. The classes sound really interesting! I know some people who have taken classes there before and they said it was one of their favorite experiences ever because of how challenging everything was. Some classes were even harder than others! So far all my classes are going well…
Dear [friend’s name],
I’m so excited to finally tell you about my new school! It’s called [school name] and it’s in [location]. It’s a really small school, which is great because I’m a big introvert and I don’t like crowds. Plus, it’s a lot cheaper than the other schools that I applied to, which is great because my parents are broke. The classes are very interesting—there’s a class on history, a class on math, and one on science. In addition to these classes, there are also electives such as art and music.
What I’m most excited about though is how close we all are here at school. Everyone knows everyone else and they’re always really nice to each other. Plus, we all eat lunch together every day! This means that if you want to talk about something with someone else but don’t want to talk about it in front of the whole class during lunch break then you can just go outside with them instead!
Also, there are no tests or quizzes here at this school—we only have tests when we do presentations or projects instead!
Dear [friend’s name],
I miss you so much. I just wanted to write and tell you about my new school. It is really different from my old one, but I like it! Here are some things I have learned so far:
- The lunch food is amazing! We get free lunches every day and they always have a lot of options.
- There are no rules about what we wear or what we do after school, which is great because I don’t have to worry about getting in trouble for wearing the wrong shoes or being late for class.
- The teachers are really nice, even if they seem strict at first glance! I think they’re just trying to make sure that we know how important school is!
- My classes are really big (about 100 people), so sometimes it takes a while for everyone to quiet down before we start talking about whatever topic we’re learning about today (like music history or biology). But that’s okay—it gives us more time to study up on whatever topic we’re going over today!
